Born in Zurich (1986) and raised in Oberwil, Remo completed his studies as a director and animator in Lucerne, Switzerland. His master's graduation film "Bei Wind und Wetter/ Whatever the weather" (2016) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival's Cinéfondation, received awards at various major festivals, and made it onto the long list of the Academy Awards (AMPAS).
As an independent filmmaker, he realizes his own projects as well as commissions as an animator, motion graphic designer and background artist.
His work was awarded a scholarship by the Hirschmann Foundation in 2013. In 2018, the Aargau Kuratorium awarded him a one-year travel scholarship to Mexico, where he is currently involved in project development.
Remo is a member of the Swiss animation group GSFA and the Swiss Film Academy.
